1. Take the Sentosa Cable Car

Start your trip to Sentosa on the right note by making your way to the island in style: by cable car. Enjoy panoramic bird's eye views of the sunny island and of Singapore’s Harbourfront as you take off from Faber Peak Singapore toward Sentosa Island.

Trust us when we say this is quite a visual treat. Play “spot the attraction” as you glide in an air-conditioned, wheelchair-friendly cabin toward a day of fun! Remember to get your tickets online in advance to skip the queue.

Psst... check out the washrooms at Faber Peak before you get into your Cable Car – they have ceiling-to-floor glass windows and a fantastic view of the harbour.

Bonus tip: If you're looking for a special idea for a date or to celebrate an important event, the Singapore Cable Car offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the ride from Faber Peak to the Singapore Harbour on the Premium Cabin Dining Experience.

Starting just before sunset, you can enjoy a delicious 4-course meal over Sentosa and Singapore's highlights. What could be more romantic than sharing great food with your loved one(s) (up to 4 people) in your own cabin high above the sea, watching the sun fade and the lights turn on to reveal the city's gorgeous skyline at night?

2. Beach-Hop (Palawan, Tanjong, and Siloso)

If you are a beach lover, you will be spoiled for choice with Sentosa’s three beautiful beaches!

Siloso Beach is the main beach on the island, and the majority of the coastal restaurants, bars, and attractions are located in close proximity. It is usually the busiest beach, packed with locals and tourists alike – so head there earlier if you want to avoid the crowds.

Palawan Beach is the top choice among families looking for quieter shores and a more relaxed experience than on Siloso. This beach also has playgrounds and parks all around, which makes it perfect for kids: they can hit the play areas when they want a break from building sandcastles.

Tanjong Beach is the favorite hangout of young millennial adults, who enjoy lounging by the beach at the stylish Tanjong Beach Club restaurant and bar. If you're looking to chill with a martini in hand and cool lounge music, this will be perfect for you.

3. Spend a Day at Universal Studios Singapore

If exhilarating rides, movie-themed attractions, and performances are your thing, then you can't miss the Universal Studios Singapore theme park when you visit Sentosa. With 24 specially designed rides (perfect for movie buffs) and spectacular performances to check out, you can easily spend the whole day exploring the park.

For thrill seekers, we highly recommend the Transformers 3D ride and the Revenge of the Mummy – both are bound to get your heart racing! There are also plenty of fun character rides that will delight the younger ones, like Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase and Madagascar: A Crate Adventure.

This attraction is without a doubt one of the most popular things to do in Sentosa Island, so make sure you book your tickets online ahead of your visit. You'll avoid getting stuck in the long queues that could otherwise end up eating into your day.

4. Have Lunch at Malaysian Food Street

Hungry and looking for food on Sentosa? Make sure you try some local Asian cuisine over at Malaysian Food Street (Resorts World Sentosa). Enjoy choosing from plenty of affordable and delicious food options and dine in air-conditioned comfort. It's the perfect chance to escape from the hot and sunny weather!

Our top picks for dishes to taste include: KL Hokkien Mee (a flavourful dish of fried noodles in soy sauce - see the picture above!) and Satay (Asian kebabs, served with a mean peanut sauce and/or spicy sauce).

5. Visit the S.E.A. Aquarium

The S.E.A. Aquarium is the largest and, in our opinion, the best aquarium in Southeast Asia. With more than 100,000 marine animals to observe in their respective unique habitats, it offers an incredible opportunity to discover the wonders of the marine world. The aquarium features more than 50 mesmerizing habitats to explore, so you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to where to look.

Our favorite sea creatures to observe are the manatees and jellyfish! Look out for them! Trust us when we say they will captivate you. Apart from the exhibits, the aquarium also organizes various unique activities throughout the day - from daily feeding shows, to special animal encounters, and even the only underwater aquarium dining experience in Southeast Asia.

The S.E.A Aquarium is definitely not your typical aquarium, so prepare to be enthralled by this unusual immersive underwater experience. Get your skip-the-line ticket now to save time and make the most of your visit.

6. Take a Hike at Sentosa Nature Discovery

If you're a fan of hikes in lush nature, then this will certainly top the list of things to do in Sentosa Island for you. Check out Sentosa’s Nature Discovery trail, a short trail that offers interactive exhibits and opportunities for an up-close experience with wildlife in Sentosa. Away from all the action-packed attractions, explore the serene and peaceful side of Sentosa at your own pace.

7. Ready, Set, Go: Skyline Luge

This is one of the most popular things to do in Sentosa! A hot favorite for both adults and children, this award-winning attraction is a must visit.

Love the idea of racing and feeling the wind against your face? Dream no more and try it out in real life at this attraction – no driving license required. You get to ride up a chair lift to the top of the track, and ride down (however quickly or slowly you want) from a choice of 2 routes. Little kids can ride with an adult so they do not have to miss out on the fun!

Our advice: Get more than one ride when you buy the tickets, because you or your kid will definitely want a second, and probably even a third go! Sign up for a bit of an adrenaline rush now

8. Thrill Seek with AJ Hackett Sentosa

Are you a thrill-seeker looking to tempt fate? Push your personal limits and jump off the deck of Singapore’s first and only bungy tower over Siloso Beach – a hairy 164 feet (50 m) drop. Alternatively, opt to swing down from the tower at speeds up to 120km/h.

If either of these activities sound like fun to you, then don't skip AJ Hackett Sentosa while on the island! As a bonus, the deck also has a perfect panoramic vista of the beach and is the ideal spot to catch the sunset. If you'd rather not defy gravity but are still keen to catch the views, this ticket will give you skip-the-line access to the skybridge and viewing platform for just $7.24.

9. Have Fun at the Animals and Birds Encounter

This one is for the kids. Like those shows you see at the zoo, the Palawan Amphitheatre hosts 15-minute educational shows and 'up close and personal' segments with animals like monkeys, reptiles, and various bird species every afternoon, all week long. And best of all, they're free.

Sounds like something your little ones might enjoy? Make sure you get there early, as the Palawan Amphitheatre is always packed full of families with young children waiting for their chance to see these exotic animals up close!

10. Have a Blast at Hydrodash

What is better than a playground? A playground on the sea, of course! Picture an inflatable playground floating on the sea... well, this is exactly what Hydrodash is!

This family-friendly attraction is bound to get kids and adults screaming with excitement. Bounce, jump, and slide away on Singapore’s first floating aqua park. It's a perfect way to spend the day with your family on a hot tropical island like Sentosa!

11. Spread Your Wings at iFly

Have you ever thought of skydiving? What about indoor skydiving? We are not kidding: at this Sentosa attraction, you will get your chance to literally spread your wings and fly!

With the help of a super turbo wind tunnel, you get to experience what it is like to skydive – all with the comfort of knowing that you are not that far off from the ground. All the thrill, none of the danger! A must-try in our opinion.

12. Explore Fort Siloso & Skywalk

For a slice of Singapore history, explore a guided trail of Sentosa’s well-preserved coastal military fortress, which was a key element of Singapore’s defence in WWII. This one is definitely for the history buffs and those curious to learn about Singapore's past.

Not a fan of history? Instead, you can enjoy the peaceful and scenic hike along the Skywalk trail, 11 storeys above the ground, on the way to Fort Siloso.

13. Wind Down at Quayside Isle

Looking to wind down after a day of action-packed activities? What better way to do so than to indulge in some romantic, quiet marina-front dining at the Quayside Isle in Sentosa Cove.

Soak in the relaxing ambiance as you enjoy gourmet food at one of the many established restaurants. Take in the picturesque waterfront views while reminiscing about all the fun activities you tried during the day.

Done with dinner? Make sure to take a peaceful and relaxing stroll down to the W hotel for a drink to end off a wonderful day. How perfect!
