There are streets in Bangkok that may be modest during the day. Don’t fool yourself, though. With clubs huddled in entertainment streets and a various combination of the crowd during the night, nightlife Bangkok nightlife is something you shouldn’t miss as a tourist.

If you’re into bar-hopping, you can easily walk around and visit neighboring pubs or get in a taxi going to bigger detached clubs and listen to live music. Most of the bars and hang out spots in the City of Angels close at around 2 in the morning. However, if your night is still not done it is not hard to find a place that will accommodate you. Most of these spots are found on Sukhumvit Road.

However, what is better than sipping on a cocktail on a roof of a spectacular building, walled by wonderful views. Bangkok offers a lot of rooftop bars, but if you are looking for a rooftop bar Bangkok no dress code, don’t worry as not all rooftop bars in this city are fancy and require you to wear smart-casual attire. Here are some of them:

1. Octagon Bar

While Octagon Bar is conveniently located within the yards of the Chit-Lom BTS station on Ploen Chit Road, Mercury Ville’s this rooftop bar offers a bit more than just a nice view, a tactical location, and interesting lighting together with its namesake 8-sided geometrically shaped hang out spot.The decoration and atmosphere may impress you will surely impress you.

This bar and restaurant serves both Thai and Western cuisine and drinks which include imported draught beers, a variety of cocktails and wines. They also serve different blended coffee and different house-made beverage.

2. Wanderlust Rooftop

You’d hardly assume to find this small sanctuary on a hotel’s rooftop and a Japanese restaurant. It’s only reachable through some back alley staircases located in a parking lot. You will know you have found the right place the moment you see a chalkboard stand saying “Wanderlust, 5th floor” doodled in graffiti script. Going to the fifth floor and up another flight of roof stair, you are met with music, colorful fairy lights and comfortable-looking deck chairs and cushioned benches.

This spot looks like a mystery until you learn a bit of its background. The settings are distinctively Western, even the design of the website. However, some other things, such as the phrasing of specific items on the menu, mark the owner as a non-native English speaker. The fact is that Wanderlust was started by a group of Western and Thai group of friends, who desired to build a comfortable hangout place targeting both foreign and locals to enjoy some good time together.

3. Jham Jun Bar and Bistro

Another place to hang out with friends if you are looking for relaxing setting and enjoy fine drinks and meal with affordable price is Jham Jun Bar & Bistro. This is a great place to go if you are looking for some cool spot around Bang Lam Phu and Khao San Road.

This rooftop bar in Bangkok with no dress code is located on Fortville Guesthouse’s top floor. This is a small guesthouse close to Phra Sumen Fortress, which serves Thai as well as Fusion food with great range of drinks and cocktails to choose. Each single rooftop bar or restaurant in Bangkok offers a unique viewing experience depending on where they are standing. For The Roof Gastro, the view focuses more on the National Stadium and the neighboring area.

While enjoying your drink, you will also enjoy the excellent views of the city lights all over the area.
